1. A renewed outlook on life

    July 8, 2008 by administrator

Every morning when I let the dog out, I step outside to get that first big breath of morning air and I say “Hallelujah! Thank you that I’m alive, I’m healthy and I’m happy”. This practice serves not only to refresh my mind but also reminds me of how important my thought life is. As I launch myself into a new day I go at it with  positive intentions knowing that my words produce the optimum results in my present and future. Enjoying a positive frame of mind serves as an encouragement and helps me to fulfill my best in life. This way, I get pleasure out of the  journey of life rather than just being consumed by the requirements of the immediate. So, please be encouraged to stir your heart and mind with things that uplift. Take the deepest breath your lungs can hold . . . and with your exhale whisper words of faith to your soul.

  2. In light of current events . . .

My thoughts for today - Celebrate life in a positive way even though circumstances around us are uncertain and sometimes trying. To be honest, I tend to get frustrated when I view the current events going on in our world. The only real effective antidote that I’ve found is to set aside quiet daily devotional time for reading, and stillness and surrender. I always come away from my quiet time refreshed and renewed and I want to encourage you to do the same. It’s hard to be disciplined since life is so harried but the rewards far out weight the inconvenience. Recommended Devotional Reading: My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers, Psalms and Proverbs as well.

The “One Wing” painting has a really interesting story behind it. Attached is a video of Steven sharing the inspiration behind this unique painting. Hope you enjoy and, as always, your comments are welcome!

  4. Facebook Page

Talk about entering into the 21st Century! You’re not really “official” unless you have a Facebook page. That’s what I’ve heard anyway -_- I realize that with Facebook you need an account in order to gain access to the site but for those of you that already have an account with Facebook, please take a moment to review Steven’s Page. As always, open to your suggestions.  The link is located on the right hand column of the screen, under “links”.

  5. Upcoming Blog Announcement

Within the next couple of weeks, Steven is going to be starting a blog. We decided it’s finally time to enter the 21st century and to use avenues of communication that are being utilized by the more computer savvy among us. I’ll be sending out an email announcement to everyone on our mailing list with an official start date. In the meantime, I am open to any and all suggestions from you cyber space junkies.
